Lindy Lin is an electroacoustic composer and audiovisual experimentalist based in Reykjavík and Shanghai. Blending cultural heritage with personal mediums, she creates immersive, tactile experiences using natural soundscapes, everyday objects such as Xiao, guitar, sewing machine, and fabric. Her surreal, psychedelic compositions challenge societal imbalances related to identity and equality.

After releasing her debut album Her Insula in Shanghai, she moved to Iceland in 2023 to pursue a Master’s in NAIP at the Iceland University of the Arts.

Lindy has since been active in Reykjavík’s art scene, consistently pushing musical boundaries and engaging in diverse collaborative projects. Her works include the improvisation-based Mirror Stage: Perfect Score engaging over 14 local female-identifying artists(including Sóley Stefánsdóttir and Berglind María Tómasdóttir),

as well as projects with the noise band Yang Soup,

the feminist experimental trio Sew What,

and the electroacoustic Wet Flute Trio.

She has performed at notable events including the full moon series curated by Björk, and sharing the stage with Björk, Jan Hendrickse, and John McCowen.
